How to Meet a Chestnut: Sensing Ecologies

A workshop in collaboration with ecological designer Michael Cafiero for Field Meridians in Brooklyn, New York. A guided encounter with the chestnut and its environs combined a guided walk to ‘meet’ the chestnuts and a talk introducing the functionally extinct Castanea dentata, or ‘American’ Chestnut, as a figure with which to think about ecological and cultural entanglement within the cosmopolitan forest that is New York City.
