PARIS THROWBACK

Normally I wouldn't go posting two days in a row for lack of time, but I got sucked into fixing up this little painting I made back in January. At one of the expansive antique/flea markets in paris I kept coming across these strange sets of what looked like salad servers. And all of them were mounted on the little legs and hooves of animals. So odd. I can almost imagine the kind of person who would have this in their home and then the conversation their children must have had years later after stumbling across them in some box or attic.

"do we keep these?"
"can we even use them?"

Just one of many little objects at that market that I could not take my eyes off of but also could not really see myself needing in my life.
